KNOW GOD

Begin Your Journey with Jesus
God created you for relationship with Him.
You are not an accident. You were intentionally created by a God who knows your name and desires to be in relationship with you. Before the world began, God had you in mind. Your life has meaning and purpose that goes far beyond what you can see, and it all starts with knowing the One who made you.

The Bible tells us that God is love (1 John 4:8). Everything about who He is flows from this truth. And because He loves you, He invites you into a friendship that will transform everything—your present and your future, your struggles and your celebrations, your ordinary days and your extraordinary moments.

Jesus said, "I came that they may have life and have it abundantly" (John 10:10). God doesn't just want you to exist; He wants you to truly live. How can you know for certain that you have eternal life with God?

WHY DO I NEED GOD?

You were created for a purpose that only God can fulfill.

Deep inside, every person has a longing that nothing in this world can completely satisfy. We try to fill it with success, relationships, experiences, or achievements, but something is always missing. That's because we were designed for connection with God.

The Bible says, "You have made us for yourself, O Lord, and our hearts are restless until they rest in you" (often attributed to Augustine, reflecting Psalm 63:1). You were created to know God and to be known by Him. Nothing else will bring the peace, joy, and purpose your heart is searching for.

"For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made."
- Psalm 139:13-14 (NKJV)

WHAT'S KEEPING ME FROM GOD?

Sin separates us from God.
We've all done things we regret. We've all fallen short of who we want to be. The Bible calls this sin—and it's not just about the mistakes we make, but about the way we live independently from God, trying to be our own authority. Scripture tells us, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). Sin creates a barrier between us and God. It damages our relationship with Him and affects every part of our lives—our relationships, our peace of mind, our sense of purpose.

The consequence of sin is serious. Romans 6:23 explains, "For the wages of sin is death." This isn't just physical death, but spiritual separation from God for eternity. We can't fix this problem on our own, no matter how hard we try to be good people. We need a Savior. But here's the incredible news: that same verse continues with hope: "but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
- 1 John 1:9 (NKJV)

HOW CAN I BE SAVED?

Jesus is the answer.

God loves you so much that He made a way to restore your relationship with Him. He didn't leave you to figure it out on your own. God Himself came to earth in the person of Jesus Christ—fully God and fully human—to bridge the gap between you and heaven.

Jesus lived a perfect life, then willingly went to the cross to take the punishment that our sins deserved. He died in our place. But death couldn't hold Him. Three days later, He rose from the grave, proving His power over sin and death. Because of what Jesus did, forgiveness is now available to everyone who believes in Him.
Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me" (John 14:6). Salvation isn't found in being a good person, joining a church, or following religious rules. It's found in a person—Jesus Christ. When you put your faith in Him, everything changes. The apostle Peter declared, "Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12).

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
- John 3:16 (NKJV)

HOW DO I RECEIVE THIS GIFT?

It begins with faith.

Salvation is not something you earn—it's something you receive. The Bible says, "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9).

You don't have to clean up your life first. You don't have to be perfect. You simply need to:

1. Believe that Jesus died for your sins and rose again.
2. Repent (turn away from sin and toward God).
3. Receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

If you're ready to begin a relationship with Jesus Christ, you can pray a prayer like this from your heart:

Dear God,
I know that I am a sinner and that I need Your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. I want to turn from my sins and invite Jesus into my heart and life. I want to trust Him as my Savior and follow Him as my Lord from this day forward. Thank You for loving me and forgiving me. Thank You for the gift of eternal life. I pray this in Jesus' name.
Amen.
